2020 gave us plenty of material for catharsis and reflection, so did the films released during it. With little to nothing representing big studio escapist fare, the spotlight notoriously turned to intimate stories grounded in the real world. From homelessness to abortion, from breaking families to crumbling systems, from deafness to alcoholism, from the early stages of capitalism to it's apparently imminent colapse, films of 2020 portrayed human turmoil in the most beautiful, poignant fashion. Here's our little homage to our favorite films of a very chaotic, if also somewhat enlightening year.
